What I find surprising is how every recruiter misses the opportunity to be a hero—to truly make an impression. Because, honestly, it’s so bad out there, that it would probably take very little to actually impress us even a little bit. All you would have to do is indicate to us that you’ve at least looked at the candidate and made an attempt to see if it’s a match, rather than just matching keywords in our job description to keywords on resumés.
