I heard a statistic the other day that almost 90% of startups change their business focus within the very first quarter. That being the case, how important really is the Business Plan? Many have argued that the point of a business plan is to obtain financing, while others believe it to be a document that should serve as a benchmark or guide to the ongoing operations. Whatever view you take, just know that it must remain a living breathing document, because in my experience, it is going to undergo drastic changes.
