People have said "there's never been a better time to start a business" for years - often attributing this to big trends such as 'The Internet' and 'Open Source.' Whilst these are undoubtedly great, I think there's another enabler that make this a great time to start up - specifically, the option of outsourcing everything that is not your core competency, leaving you free to laser focus your work on one particular problem.
